Just wanted to say how grateful I am to have a place where I can read words of hope and love.  This time of year is very hard for me.  I don't reach out much when I need to...and lately I feel like I'm barely hanging on...but I know it will pass and everything will be ok.  I just want you all to know how much I love the links and the postings on this site.  Just reading the words of encouragement for others is helpful to me and reminds me that my family is very much alive and concerned with me and my kids.  I pray that everyone here has the merriest of holidays this season.  Thank you Morgan for keeping the door open.  bless you my friend!

hi jen, l know how you feel, it is the first christmas with out my beloved dad,  I used to ring him up on christmas eve ask him how do you get the turkey, l remember before they used to leave the giblets in, l asked how did he get them out, he said pull them out, l said well, l doing it with my marigolds on, and a spoon,, we did laugh. I am going to raise a glass to my dad, l am sure he will be watching, also placing some flowers to him and all others who are in the spirit world, it has been very tough on mum, she is still mourning him and the life now she is facing,  in a residential home, limited to do things, cos of her bad health. I know dad is watching over her, l was blessed he gave me a direct message, which in part has come true. here is a verse,

you can change the words from He, to She , if you need too

You can shed tears that he has gone
Or you can smile because he has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all he's left
You can remember him and only that he's gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he'd want:
Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

thank you Sky.  I'm sorry about your mum, and the loss of your dad.  I know that our family watches over us...my kids tell me all the time about my grandmother being with them and that makes my heart smile!  I appreciate how giving you are.  Your dads words are beautiful and I shall focus more today on the joys that make me smile....I do have many of those to focus on.

bless xx
